There’s something especially charming about a sitting cat. It’s calm, gentle, and quietly sweet. In my newest origami tutorial, I’m sharing how to fold this delicate little origami cat that looks as though she’s holding a tiny heart.
This model is designed by me and folded using two square sheets of paper, one for the head and one for the body.

A Cat Full of Personality
What I love most about this design is her posture.
She’s sitting upright with her little front paws neatly together, her tiny tail visible from behind, and just above her paws rests a small paper heart. Tucked between her paws and body, the heart makes it look as though she’s gently holding it.
It’s a subtle detail, but it gives the whole model so much character. She feels tender. Almost shy. Like she’s offering the heart to someone special.
This cat is designed to be easy to fold and super cute, with pointy ears, neatly folded front paws, and a sweet symmetrical front view that cat lovers will adore.
Further along in the tutorial, I also show how to fold the tiny heart (my Angel Heart design) that fits perfectly into the cat’s body. It’s small, but that’s what makes it so sweet and delicate. If you’d like to fold along with me, you can watch the full video tutorial below.

Happy folding 🤍
And if you make one, I’d love to see it.
